Meet Gideon – Your New Best Friend in WaitingGideon is a sweet, loyal companion who thrives in calm, patient homes. He gets along great with other dogs and has lived peacefully with cats. While he’s social, loud or unpredictable environments—like those with young kids—can make him uneasy. A home with respectful kids 12+ is ideal.Once Gideon feels safe (which doesn’t take long), he’s all in—belly rubs, cuddles, and affection galore. He just needs someone who understands that trust takes a minute.He’s a strong guy on leash and could use continued training with someone who can handle his pull and help him learn. A fenced yard isn’t required, but it’d be a bonus for this explorer.Gideon loves squeaky toys, tennis balls, and fetch. Rubber toys? He destroys them with glee. He’s not possessive of food or toys, but he can get a little tense if approached while enjoying them. It’s manageable with simple redirection or trades.Gideon is the best of both worlds—playful and energetic when it’s time to move, but happy to relax and hang with his people, too.If you’re ready for a devoted buddy who’s all heart, Gideon’s your guy.Thank you for showing an interest in our pets.
