My story

This is Chica, but you may know her better as “a tiny dictator in a dog costume.” At just 8 pounds, she’s somehow both too small to be taken seriously and entirely in charge of your household. She didn’t come here to make friends—she came here to steal your lap, your snacks, and your unwavering loyalty. Chica is a 10-year-old brindle Chihuahua with more attitude than a Real Housewife on a three-day juice cleanse. She’s allergic to drama (and a couple other things—more on that later), and she’s not about to share her spotlight with other pets. This girl is strictly a one-human show. But here’s the plot twist: underneath that spicy exterior is a snuggly little ride-or-die. Once she trusts you, she’ll follow you around like a fuzzy bodyguard with trust issues. She’s loyal, loving, and lowkey hilarious—especially if you find joy in watching a tiny gremlin yell at the wind. Chica does best in a calm, adult-only home where the vibes are chill and the snacks are plentiful. Loud noises, sudden movements, and chaos? Hard pass. Other animals? Not unless they pay rent and respect her boundaries. She’s currently rocking about a 5 out of 7 on the “Fear, Anxiety & Stress” scale—meaning she might lunge, nip, or throw a dramatic tantrum if overwhelmed. But with the right human (read: someone patient, experienced, and totally smitten), she’ll blossom into the quirky cuddlebug she was always meant to be. Medical Notes: Allergic dermatitis and pododermatitis—manageable with routine care and the occasional vet-approved product that costs more than your shampoo. Chica may not be everyone’s idea of the perfect dog, but if you’re into complex characters, underdog stories, and a little daily chaos, she might just be your soulmate.
