My story

Some kittens are just born with a little extra magic. ✨ Meet Cookie. She was found alone, limping with her tiny foot caught in a mousetrap — injured, scared, and so heartbreakingly brave. 💔 Thanks to a kind stranger and the amazing team at Gold Country Animal Hospital, Cookie got the care she desperately needed. Dr. Griffiths and his staff worked wonders, saving part of her foot — and while she only has one toe left, she’s already mastered the art of wrestling her puff toys, purring, and stealing hearts. 🐾 Cookie is full of love, adventure, and soft little purrs. She loves being held and snuggled, and now that she’s healing, she’s excited to start exploring her world. She’s still a bit timid with new faces, but once she knows you, she blossoms into the sweetest, most affectionate companion. 💗 Cookie is now ready to find her forever family! A calm home with a gentle, non-dominant kitty close to her age would be the perfect match for this special girl. My foster mom says I am spayed, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect. They say that's good! I currently live with my foster family in Sacramento. NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone's best interests!
