If you’re looking for a fun-loving, goofy best friend, Jack might just be your perfect match! Jack is a young, energetic pup who loves life—and loves people even more. He runs right over to greet you with a big smile (and maybe a happy jump or two) because he’s just that excited to meet new friends. Jack is playful, affectionate, and always ready for an adventure. Whether it’s a game of fetch, a walk around the neighborhood, or just goofing around in the yard, Jack’s happy to be by your side. He’s done well meeting other dogs here and has lived with a small dog at home, but we always recommend a meet-and-greet with any resident pups before adoption to make sure everyone’s tails are wagging together. If you’re ready to bring home a loving, silly companion who will fill your days with laughter and fun, come meet Jack! Ready to Adopt? You have two options: #1- VISIT IN PERSON Come during our open adoption hours: Tuesday - Saturday,12:30 - 3:00pm. You’ll be able to meet available dogs in the shelter. (Dogs in foster care are not available for in-person visits.) #2- ADOPT REMOTELY OR PLACE A 24-HOUR HOLD** If you’re ready to adopt without meeting the dog first, or you’d like to place a non-refundable $25 hold to reserve a dog for 24 hours, just call or email us: (413) 781-4000 x 1 springfield@dakinhumane.org. We are often helping other clients when you call, but we return voicemails and emails within 24 hours. **Holds are not available for puppies under six months, on Saturdays, or during adoption events. -------------------------------------------- All adult dog adoption fees include; -spay/neuter -rabies and kennel cough vaccinations - heartworm test -current parvo/distemper vaccines (may need additional boosters with your veterinarian) -microchip implanted & registered to adopter -treatment of fleas & ticks -veterinary exam and health certificate at Dakin -free vet exam within 30 days of adoption with participating veterinarians Most pets have also received other medical care while with us. Your veterinarian may recommend additional health care for your pet.
