My story

Hi! My name is Hope. I'm 2-3 year old shepherd mix. I didn't have the best start to my time in rescue - I was diagnosed with heartworm, but I've now completed treatment and am a healthy, happy girl! I've been discovering the joys of a loving family while living in my foster home. I love to get pets and snuggles from my humans, play with my doggy companions, sniff and lounge in the yard, chew on bones, and fetch a ball every now and then. I'm an easy-going gal who is eager to please and who gets along with everyone I meet! While my fosters don't have a cat, I met a cat in the shelter and shared my water dish with her. I like the kids in my neighborhood and am happy to get pets from anyone who comes into my foster home! I'm potty trained and have transitioned out of a crate while in my foster home. My foster parents typically shut doors to the bedrooms, but I am able to go between the living room and my favorite ottoman in the dining room while they are gone. Overall, I'm a lovable, sweet girl and I'm looking forward to finding my forever home!
