Diego is a 2-year-old chihuahua with the confidence of a lion, the sass of a cat, and the cuddly heart of a marshmallow. He’s a total sweetheart… *on his terms.* Want a dog who’ll nap under your covers, gaze into your eyes like you’re his soulmate, and sit on your lap like it’s his throne? Diego’s your guy. But be warned: if you try to put a leash on him, suddenly it’s **Diego vs. The World**, and you're in the ring. Need to put him in a carrier? Make sure your health insurance is up to date. Somehow, this 10-pound mystery of nature channels the strength of a full-grown bear when he decides *nope*. It’s impressive, really. Diego doesn’t like to be picked up and held—he prefers affection in the form of adoration from a respectful distance (unless you're the couch, in which case, he'll lie on you like he pays rent). Think of him like a cat disguised as a dog: aloof, opinionated, and full of love… once you earn it.
