My story

Selena is a beautiful senior Sheltie with a gentle soul and eyes that seem to understand everything. At her age, she`s earned the wisdom of a lifetime, and her sweet, calm nature reflects that. Selena has been diagnosed with cancer, but she`s still full of love and light, and she`s looking for someone special to share her golden days with.Thanks to the incredible generosity of our donors and supporters, Selena was able to have her surgery to remove her cancerous leg and ease some of her pain.She’s now recovering comfortably in a loving foster home, where she’s getting all the rest and care she needs to heal. Sadly, because of the type of cancer she had, amputation is not going to save Selena`s life. It has, however, made a huge difference in the quality of time she has left with us. Her gentle spirit continues to shine as she begins this new, pain-free chapter of her life. This lovely lady doesn`t need much - just a soft bed, a kind touch, and someone to love her for exactly who she is. She`s incredibly smart - she knows her routines, reads emotions with ease, and moves through life with quiet dignity. Selena gets along well with other gentle dogs and would thrive in a peaceful home where she can be close to her person, soaking up affection and returning it tenfold.
