Peachy

My story

I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog I:4Peachy is a lively, playful 2-year-old pittie mix, 44 pounds of personality and even bigger love for toys, especially balls! This energetic girl is all about fetch and fun. She’s treat- and toy-motivated, which makes training a breeze for someone ready to guide her with consistency and play. Peachy is still working on her leash skills and can get excited on walks, especially when squirrels are involved. She’s an independent explorer on walks but responds well to redirection and loves to show off her excellent ‘sit’ for treats. She stays calm and loose when introduced to other dogs, and loves chase games with her friends in the shelter’s playgroups. Peachy could live with a well-matched canine friend—or enjoy life as a solo pup with doggy playdates. Peachy would thrive in an active home and someone who’ll keep her body and brain busy. She’s full of zest, curiosity, and joy, and with a little structure, she’s sure to make an amazing companion for someone who’s up for adventures and lots of fetch!
