My story

Cat from the second database I'm Peter Pan, an 11-year-old that is truly is forever young. When he visited for vaccinations, they said he looked more like he was 5 or 6 years old. We don't know where he is hiding his fountain of youth, but he originally adopted as a kitten, he found his way back to FHS as a senior. He is also a cancer survivor with a great prognosis. He did have a basil cell carcinoma, which FHS worked with the vet to have completely removed. It's a low grad and per pathology it had clean line. So, he is ready for the next round of his  9 Lives.  This charmer will win you over with his amazing personality and exploring spirit. His original origin story: Peter was rescued from the euthanize list at a local shelter when he was four-months-old (due to shelter space issues). He was adopted one month later (2014)! THEN, his owner/guardian gave him away (rather than returning him to FHS). THEN, this handsome and SWEETEST boy was recently found abandoned by a Good Samaritan & FHS was contacted via Peter's microchip.  Thank goodness for that chip. Through it all, Peter has stayed Super Sweet and takes it all in stride with pride! There is no obligation, it just starts the conversation.  Approx DOB 10/1/2013.  Every Saturday & Sunday, Frisco Humane Society has Adopt-A-Pet events at PetSmart (3333 Preston Road, Frisco).  FHS has different adoptable cats there all weekend & adoption counselors on site to help, from Noon - 4 p.m. on both days.Interested in one of our cats/dogs? First step it to fill out the required adoption application. We do not adopt to anyone living outside of the Dallas/Fort Worth area. All our cats/dogs will be spayed/neutered, heart worm tested (dogs), FeLV/FIV tested (cats), microchipped, and current on vaccinations. We do not adopt on a first-come, first-served basis. We review all applications received to ensure that the animal and the applicant are a good match based on our personal experiences with the animal. These animals live in foster homes with us, so we are familiar with their habits and behaviors. Home visits may be required prior to adoption approval.
