My story

NOT YET TAKING APPLICATIONS – NOT YET AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION NEW INTAKE 6/21/2025:   Mateo - male - DOB 12/10/2024 - 6.6 pounds - Schnauzer Reason for intake:  Here we are with another LEG issue!  This little guy came to us via a rescue friend.  Apparently, he jumped off of a deck and hurt his left rear leg and it's pretty much just dangling.  We don't know how old the injury is but he's not in pain, so it may be old.  If it's old, we may have no other choice but to amputate.  He's heading to our vet on 6/24/2025 for neutering and everything else, including assessing the leg. NOT TAKING APPLICATIONS:  Many dogs, particularly breeder, hoarder or senior dogs, can have multiple medical issues that need addressed.  Additionally, sometimes we take in young puppies requiring multiple vaccinations and/or quarantining.   In this particular case, we are not yet taking applications either due to age or possible illness or some other reason.  We will post when s(he) is ready for adoption.  In the interest of fairness, EARLY application submissions will NOT be considered.  Please note…  we cannot respond to messages/emails, etc., on dogs that are NOT yet available for adoption.  Please wait until the dog is available for adoption.  We will post him or her on Facebook in our Adoptable Dog Album pinned to the top of our page which you can follow at this link:  https://www.facebook.com/share/1B46skRWF5/ OR you can keep checking our website at www.roadtorescuela.org.  We appreciate your cooperation and understanding. “The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.”  ~ Gandhi Be responsible ~  Always spay/neuter, keep your dogs on heartworm prevention, vaccinate against disease... and if you bring a pet into your life, commit to that pet for life.  Blessings.
