My story

When Kisses first arrived, she had no hair. Not a patch. Just raw, vulnerable skin and eyes that had seen too much. But even then, she leaned into kindness. She wagged her tail. She trusted. And she’s still trusting. Today, her coat is slowly coming in with soft tufts in place of what was once bare. But it’s not just her body that’s healing. It’s her spirit, too. Kisses is one of the easiest, kindest dogs her foster had ever known. Quiet. Gentle. Grateful. She gets along with dogs and cats. She doesn't need much. Just a place to belong. She had that once. A loving foster home, a routine, a warm bed. But work got in the way, and Kisses had to come back. Now she waits. She doesn’t bark. She doesn’t act out. But when she hears footsteps and it isn’t her person, she cries. Not loudly. Just enough to let you know she remembers what home feels like. If you’re the kind of person who sees beauty in resilience, who believes love can grow where there once was nothing, then Kisses is waiting for you. She doesn’t need perfect. She just needs someone who is ready to love her for who she is inside.
