My story

Meet Muncy. Muncy joined the NorCal family when his owner could no longer take care of him. Muncy is a total sweetheart. He is playful, affectionate, gets along well with other dogs. He is friendly, gentle and shows no signs of aggression or being over protective, He is a perfect car rider and would love to go on walks with you. Muncy needs a good size, secure yard to explore and a family that does not leave him alone for extended periods of time. Here is what Muncy's foster mom said about him. Muncy is a tender-hearted goofball. We joke that if he had a voice he would sound like Goofy from Disney! He’s a sensitive boy, always listening to his people and ready to redirect when told. He seems worried that he will upset us at times and can be timid of loud sounds or unfamiliar settings. But he is quick to recover with some kind reassurance. Muncy is an exuberant fella, exploring the yard with enthusiasm and whimsy. Muncy becomes fast friends with other easy-going dogs. He gets too excited around cats and wants to chase them. We are helping Muncy put on some weight before his neuter surgery. In the meantime, we are potty training him with the help of a crate for overnight and belly bands on and off throughout the day. He is already making progress and responds SO well to positive reinforcement. Muncy gets eye drops for a cataract and he sits like a perfect gentleman while I do it. Muncy thrives on a steady routine with lots of love and cuddles. We are waiting for some test results on Muncy, so he is not quite ready for adoption yet. But if you are interested in him, please go on our website at norcalcockerrescue.org and fill out an adoption application.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Muncy, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
