My story

I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog D:5Two years old and 40 pounds, Daydream is a tender-hearted, soulful girl who has made remarkable progress in just a short time at the shelter. Initially shy and unsure, she's blossoming into an affectionate, people-oriented pup who seeks out close connection and quietly soaks up attention. Affection-seeking and sweet – Loves soft petting, gently takes treats, and leans in close for reassurance Thriving with consistent care – Shows a strong bond with her handlers and responds beautifully to gentle voices and routine Independent but social – Neutral and calm in dog playgroups, prefers quiet observation over high-energy play Growing in confidence – Has gone from timid to actively approaching people, exploring more, and showing joyful curiosity June 26, 2025, 3:07 pm
