My story

Hi, my name is Dandelion. I'm a calico girl who is 6 years old. Now, when you see me at the shelter, I'm going to be honest--I've looked better. But I will clean up nicely once I'm somewhere I feel safe, and I'm already very sweet if you just give me a little attention. I LOVE being pet, even if I seem like I'm asleep or not interested when you look in the cage. Please just reach on in and give me some love! It's just hard to get my hopes up every time people walk in, because most people want kittens, not adult cats like me. I'm going to be such a good kitty for my furever family!    The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip. Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. Phone: 770-214-3590. The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm. The Carroll County Animal Shelter will be closed the last Friday of every month for deep cleaning, staff training, and animal enrichment.    June 22, 2025, 5:03 pm
