My story

Meet Petuniah, a 3-year-old French Bulldog with a sweet heart and a surprising spring in her step. She was surrendered by a family overwhelmed with life changes and multiple pets. Petuniah is affectionate, social, and great with kids. She walks well on a leash and is doing wonderfully with her potty training. She’s smart, food motivated, and very springy—don’t let her compact size fool you! Petuniah can jump high and may be able to clear low fences, so she’ll need a secure yard and attentive supervision outdoors. Her eagerness to please and love of treats make her a fast learner. Petuniah is ready for a forever home that will keep her safe, engaged, and loved! ------------ Looking to Adopt? Submit a Rescue Questionnaire! Please be thorough in your answers. Adoptions can happen quickly so be prepared for our call, only apply for dogs that every family member in the home wants, and wait to apply until you return from your vacation. Please Keep in Mind: Due to high demand, especially for popular dogs, not all applicants will be contacted. Moreover, we may not reach out if we have already approved a family to adopt. The process can take several days. Thank you for your patience! ------------ Health Considerations about French Bulldogs: Brachycephalic (short-nosed) breed - They can be prone to breathing difficulties and should be protected from overheating and overexertion. Skin and allergy sensitivities – Regular grooming and a balanced diet can help manage potential flare-ups. Back and spine issues (IVDD) – It’s best to discourage jumping on and off furniture to prevent injury. Ear and eye care – Their cute wrinkles and bat ears may require routine cleaning to stay healthy.
