If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please complete an Adoption Request Form. This is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about our adoption process, please visit our Adoption Process page on our website at www.rescuecrew.org. Gandolf is a sweet, smart, and adorably fluffy 12-week-old Great Pyrenees mix puppy, currently weighing about 18 pounds—and growing fast! He’s expected to be a large dog when fully grown and is already showing off his confident, independent personality. Gandolf is playful and curious, thriving in his foster home as he plays with toys, the other dogs and learns his puppy manners. He enjoys being outdoors and would do best in a home with a fenced yard where he can roam and play with sticks and toys in the yard. At night, he sleeps in a crate outside our bedroom and normally goes right to bed after a long day. Gandolf is doing well with potty training, though he still has accidents. Most of the time, he goes outside and is learning quickly from his Foster Brother. He’s been around large dogs and holds his own just fine. He has been around our family members cat who was on vacation and left her alone for the most part but has curiously watched him. Gandolf enjoys laying around with people and will snuggle in close for a bit but often moves a few feet away, likely because he gets warm easily with his thick, fluffy coat. Gandolf hasn’t been exposed to children yet, but he loves everyone he meets. Like any young puppy, he has sharp little teeth and will need lots of chew toys. He isn't much of a licker and doesnt really chew on his foster parents hands when pet or his limbs played with. Gadolf is looking for a loving forever home ready for a big, loyal, intelligent pup who will grow into a wonderful lifelong friend—with continued training, patience, and space to play. He has alot of toys around and has done very well not chewing random objects but is generally supervised. He has not been left alone for long periods and has had some accidents in his crate at night. We have been working on walking with him on a leash and he is getting more familar with it. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption. The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Request Form prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online forms here as well. ##2423484##
