My story

The name Kai means “keeper of the keys,” and this 1.5-year-old Labrador mix will soon hold the one to your heart! Though it takes him a bit of time to warm up to new acquaintances, once he does, he’s very affectionate and loyal. An ideal partner for your active lifestyle, Kai loves to play chase, enjoys all types of toys, and has a great jump shot! He also has a bit of a stubborn streak, so his ideal family would be one that has dog experience and can set realistic boundaries while celebrating his spirit. Intelligent and eager to learn new things, he promises to be an apt student and maintain his GPA. If you’d like to meet Kai, stop by Little Shelter and say hello! **Fun fact: A Labrador Retriever walked into the studio when Led Zeppelin was recording and they named the song “Black Dog.”
