It’s not everyday the perfect pup appears at your doorstep, but today was that day at Three Little Pitties Rescue! Meet Snowy, the absolutely adorable little man who is oh so smart, oh so cute, and oh so loving! We believe that Snowy is a lab pittie mix around 1 year old and weighs approximately 55 pounds. Due to him being a rescue, age and breed are our best guesses and cannot be guaranteed. But one thing is for sure, Snowy is definitely the picture perfect canine companion! Snowy currently lives in a foster home with another dog and lots of people to love! This is great because he is getting prepared for what a home life is like when he gets adopted into his forever home! His foster brags about how quick of a learner Snowy is, highlighting how fast he understood sit, down and shake! You can see him showing off some of his skills in his adoption video below! He also lives with lots of birds and leaves them alone to do their birdy things. So, this is a definite perk if you are an avian enthusiast! Check out cutie Snowy boy here! https://youtu.be/Qtn2iKPiBiA When Snowy came to visit us at Rustic, he meshed with all the dogs so well! We introduced him to multiple dogs of different temperaments and he got along with each one splendidly! He especially took to the higher energy dogs that would join him in a game of chase around the yard! He also lives with a dog at his foster’s home and they have the best time! Snowy is very dog friendly and would thrive in a home with another medium energy dog that knows when it’s time to play and when it’s time to chill! As I mentioned earlier, Snowy loves to play chase! He is a lover boy and so sweet to all animals, but he definitely has a playful spirit and will extend that playfulness to feline friends as well! We believe it’s best that he lives in a home with no cats! We understand that not all kitties want to participate in olympic track meets, LOL. Snowy gets to meet his foster’s grandchildren quite often when they come to visit and he absolutely loves them!! They range from 8 to 13 and he could play with them and cuddle with them all day! He is kid friendly and would do well in a home with older children who know how to enrich a playful dog like Snowy. Naturally, Snowy would thrive in a home with a fenced yard to run and get his zoomies out. But, he is also so smart and receptive to direction that he may do well in an apartment setting with an active owner who is confident in teaching and enriching him. Overall, Snowy is such a catch! He is smart, fun, cuddly, sweet, silly, and oh so cute! He will make the perfect companion and best friend to his future family! Does Snowy sound like your boy? Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
