My story

Meet Tanner — A Gentle Soul Looking for a Fresh StartHi friends… my name’s Tanner. I may not have had the easiest start in life, but I wake up every day hopeful that my forever family is out there somewhere, looking for a good boy like me. The minute you look into my eyes, and I give you a hug, you will melt! At least, that`s why my friends here at BHS say when they see me! I love toys, playing fetch and just being wherever you are!I’m about 3 years old, and while I’m a bit skinny right now, I’ve got a big heart that’s ready to be filled with love. The wonderful people here say I’m gentle, easy to walk, and always grateful for a kind word or a soft touch. Every time someone calls me a “good boy,” my tail can’t help but wag.I have lived with children of all ages and have been noted to have been an amazing family dog. Very gentle and loved snuggling with the children in the home. I have also lived with cats and was great with them! If you have room in your heart and home for a sweet, loyal friend, I’ll be waiting right here. Interested in adopting me? We recommend submitting a general online adoption application and then heading to the shelter during our normal adoption hours (Mon: 12-4pm and Tues-Sun: 12-5pm) to meet our available animals.
