Edith

My story

Edith is a 3-month old kitten looking for a patient and understanding adopter. Edith was rescued as an older kitten after being born to a feral cat living under the deck of a local restaurant. While most would make the decision to TNR at just a mere 2 pounds, we decided to take a chance on Edith. We saw past the fear in her eyes. We saw the potential. And now we’re looking for the perfect forever home for her. It’s easy to overlook kittens like Edith; to opt for a smaller kitten, a more outgoing kitten, a fluffier kitten. But kittens like Edith deserve amazing lives too. Edith is making progress with her socialization every day. She absolutely loves cuddling up on your chest. She’ll purr up a storm, roll around on her back, and stretch out her paws to touch your face. She loves to play with little toy mice or fabric wands. And she loves treat tubes! She’s a sweet girl that’s still just learning to let go of that last bit of fear. Edith has truly come so far in foster care, but she is going to require a really patient and understanding adopter. While Edith loves to snuggle up on your chest, she still has a fear response to being approached when she’s at ground level. She needs a committed adopter who is willing to give her time and grace as she continues her socialization journey. Edith would do best in a quiet home with no children or dogs. She does love the resident cats in her foster home though, and a confident kitty companion could really help her come out of her shell.
