My story

Meet Trixie! Born around March 23, 2025, Trixie is an adorable hound/pit mix who is expected to be around 35lbs fully grown. This sweet, cuddly pup is all heart—happy, friendly, playful, and easygoing. She lives in a foster home with her equally lovable sister Katya, and the two are learning all about life from their senior dog foster siblings. Trixie is full of personality! She loves playing with her toys, doing puzzles, chewing on hard toys, and, of course, mealtime. She’s a pro at making you smile—especially when she grabs a toy to celebrate your arrival or gently “corn-cobs” your arm to show affection when you’re holding her. She’s a social butterfly and has done well meeting new people and dogs alike. Trixie is still very much a puppy and just beginning potty, leash, and crate training. She will need a home with someone who can be around often to provide consistency, socialization, and structure. Her foster says she’s very eager to learn and quick to pick up on cues from other dogs—she’ll even roll onto her back to show she means no harm when corrected. She’s a smart, eager-to-please girl who just needs the right guidance. Because she’s still learning the ropes and has lots of puppy energy, Trixie would do best in a home with dog-savvy kids or adults ready to help her continue to blossom. She’d thrive with someone who has experience with dogs or is committed to helping her grow into a confident, well-mannered companion—training included. Trixie and Katya are both happy, affectionate puppies who would love to find their forever families. They do not need to be adopted together but bring out the best in each other and have been a joy to foster. Trixie is current on vaccines, and her adoption fee includes her future spay and microchip.
