My story

Meet Katya! Born around March 23, 2025, Katya is a hound/pit mix with a big personality in a small package and is expected to be around 35 lbs fully grown. This happy, playful pup is full of curiosity, enthusiasm, and puppy charm. Katya is a natural explorer and loves discovering new places, racing around with zoomies, and playing with toys—especially with her sister Trixie (who’s also available for adoption!). She enjoys meeting new people and dogs and brings joy wherever she goes. One of her funniest habits? Sneaking off with shoes twice her size and proudly carrying them around the house like treasure! She’s living in a foster home with two senior dogs and has done wonderfully learning boundaries and social cues. Katya is respectful when corrected by older dogs and responds quickly by rolling onto her back to show she means no harm. She hasn’t been around children yet, but she’s very friendly and eager to learn—making her a great match for a home that’s ready to guide her as she grows. Like all young puppies, Katya is just beginning her potty training, crate training, and leash skills. She’s incredibly smart and observant, and she’ll thrive with positive reinforcement and consistency. She’s got a busy brain and an active body, so she’ll do best in a home that enjoys puppy training, fun enrichment activities, or even dog sports like agility. Katya would do best with someone who has experience with dogs—or someone committed to continuing her training with the help of a professional. She’s a bright, loving girl who’s ready to bond deeply with her people and learn everything she needs to be a confident, well-adjusted adult dog.
