Marbella Blue

My story

Meet Marbella Blue, the cat who went from loss to love. A few days ago an elderly woman reached out about a very skinny, friendly cat who kept showing up at their door. While they physically couldn't do much, they offered food and water, and reached out to us for help. We asked one of our volunteers, Ellen, if she could go assess the situation. Seeing how emaciated Marbella Blue was, and how desperate she was for human attention, she quickly loaded her into a carrier and brought her to our adoption center. When they arrived, Mackenzie scanned her for a microchip. Guess what?! Marbella Blue was chipped! We contacted the family who told us she escaped when they were moving out of state *last fall* and that they had given up all hope of finding her. Sadly, they are unable to come back and get her so they relinquished her to us, happy we can help find her a great home. Marbella Blue was adopted locally four years ago as a kitten. She is good with cats and dogs, extremely outgoing, and while she currently squirms when you pick her up, she loves to sit in your lap and often weaves in between your ankles when you're standing. Our hearts break thinking of her being alone and outside for as long as she was, but we are so glad everything fell into place so that we can help her. Marbella Blue, you're next chapter is just beginning and we are so happy you are getting this second chance!
