My story

Ozzy is fostered in Henderson, KY. Ozzy is a 1 year old red merle Aussie seeking his lifetime best friend!  A 29 pound lovebug, Ozzy is the definition of velcro and is in his element when by his person’s side. Loyal to a T, Ozzy is ready to come when called and give lots of kisses upon request.  He was purchased by a family - along with his sibling - and began to experience littermate syndrome, which the family was not familiar with.  Don’t be fooled by his first impression. Ozzy begins as a wallflower among strangers, but will soon blossom with support, love and plenty of petting. Once settled in, he is keen to go for rides in the cars and flaunt his crazy good leash walking skills.   Ozzy is the cool, calm, and collected type, just looking to go with his person’s flow. He doesn’t care to play fetch. Instead, he is happy with just a squeaky ball from time to time. Watch him sit pretty while brushing his coat or leisurely explore his person’s back yard and, as long as his human is outside with him, no fence is needed! He is that good of a boy, simply looking to stay close and enjoy his favorite activity of lying at his human’s feet. It is Ozzy’s preference to be the only dog in his person’s life or with smaller dogs and would love to show off how good he sleeps when allowed to sleep on the bed. He gets along swimmingly with cats but hasn’t had the chance to strut his stuff for children. A lower energy household would fit him best and no crate is required for short instances of time left alone. Ozzy is neutered, microchipped, up to date on his vaccinations and he is receiving monthly prevention for fleas, ticks and heartworms. Proof of heartworm prevention for any current or previous pets is required to adopt from our organization.  For more information on our adoption process or to complete an adoption application, please visit our website at www.MidwestAustralianShepherdRescue.org. NOTE:  All of our dogs live in foster homes with volunteers so we need an approved application on file to set up a meet with a dog you might have an interest in.  Please visit our website for more information on our adoption process, our adoption fees and a link to our adoption application.  We pride ourselves on matches that work for both the dog and your family.  MASR is here for your support, advice and safety net for our dogs for the remainder of their lives.  www.MidwestAustralianShepherdRescue.org ##2421149##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt 0861 Ozzy, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
