DOB May 5, 2021 Microchipped Magnolia is a lovey little lady who seeks to be your shadow when you go about your day. She'll tell you all kinds of stories as well from morning to night. She's from a situation with a lot of other cats and is finding her position in her foster home with two other cats. She started out rather sassy with them but has gotten much better over time now wanting to sleep near them and get on their good side. She will like to sleep near you sometimes as well but right now is not good with being picked up. She has very good litter box habits. Magnolia loves to run and jump and play with mouse toys and talks with them and tells stories as she does. She is VERY vocal with chirps, trills and meows serenading you whenever she's out and about checking out her space. She has no teeth but is very food motivated and eats wet and kibble food with ease. She loves to give head butts to her human and will often add a lick and nip. She is small for her age at just 3.5 kg and acts like a kitten now that she has more room to run and fewer cats to compete with for attention, toys and food. Magnolia has been caught counter and table surfing in her foster home, most likely due from history at a hoarder house. Adoptive parents will have to be patient with her if that is something to be trained away from. She used to nip when looking for loving attention and I was training her with a firm "No Biting!" response. She has since had all her teeth removed. If 'gummy nips' are not desired either, that training can continue with her adoptive parents. She would be best with a soft carrier for transporting her when needed as she does not like cages nor metal grates on carriers - she will rub her nose on the bars until it bleeds if confined in these types of enclosures. She greets the dawn with song but then goes back to sleep after welcoming the sun. She often gets late night zoomies, again accompanied with songs, before she settles down for the night. This little girl has had a traumatic past but is blossoming in foster care and will make a lovely addition to a home that would like to add a vocal, energetic and playful feline to their mix.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Magnolia, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
