Meet Maverick!This handsome, mellow boy is a 7-month-old Catahoula mix who already weighs 63 pounds—and he’s still growing! Maverick is the definition of a gentle giant. He’s excellent with all dogs and adores kids, making him a fantastic family companion. He loves playing in water.Despite his size, Maverick truly believes he’s a lap dog—and he’s not shy about proving it! His goofy, playful nature will keep you laughing every day. Whether he’s flopping into your lap or goofing around with his dog friends, Maverick brings joy wherever he goes.He came to us after his owner could no longer care for him, and now he’s ready to find a forever family who will love him as much as he’ll love them. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it.
