My story

Higbee and his brothers came to Heartland after living the first 8 months of their lives in rural Nebraska. There were 4 puppies in this "oops" litter, and had been living mostly outdoors for 6 months until their owner decided that they deserved to be living better lives. The citizen brought 4 pups to our partner shelter in Nebraska, where they received vet care, good food, learned to leash walk, attended playgroups with other dogs, and received lots of love and socialization. One of the brothers got adopted from the shelter in Nebraska, but after 3 months, our friends at the shelter knew that kennels were no place for puppies to grow up, and asked if we would take the remaining 3 pups to Heartland for a chance to get adopted. Of course we were happy to welcome these boys here, and we are loving them so much already! Higbee is all black, and has the CUTEST, silliest mug you could ever imagine. His permanent underbite is just so cute. If you see just his face - you'd think he's always frowning. But, when you meet him, you see it's the exact opposite. He is always happy, and thinks the world is a party. He loves to run around the yard with other dogs, go on walks, and naps just as hard. He's going to be a great medium size - at 8 months, he has just a little growing left to do. We hope you will inquire about Higbee today! Higbee’s adoption fee is $300. This animal is neutered, up to date on core vaccines, and Heartworm negative.
