My story

Toronto is at our shelter. Please submit an application from our website or just come in to meet him during open hours! Scroll through his pictures to see his cute videos! Toronto and his brothers came to Heartland after living the first 8 months of their lives in rural Nebraska. There were 4 puppies in this "oops" litter, and had been living mostly outdoors for 6 months until their owner decided that they deserved to be living better lives. The citizen brought 4 pups to our partner shelter in Nebraska, where they received vet care, good food, learned to leash walk, attended playgroups with other dogs, and received lots of love and socialization. One of the brothers got adopted from the shelter in Nebraska, but after 3 months, our friends at the shelter knew that kennels were no place for puppies to grow up, and asked if we would take the remaining 3 pups to Heartland for a chance to get adopted. Of course we were happy to welcome these boys here, and we are loving them so much already! Toronto is a dog that turns into a fishy in playgroup. He LOVES the baby pool! He will make a running start, and jump in and out of the pool at record speed. His dog friends love chasing him around and the pool, and some, like Broose, love joining him in the water. Broose and Toronto bonded over their love for water in their first playgroup, now share a kennel during the day. Toronto is a social and sweet boy with other dogs and people alike. He's the perfect medium size and has curly hair down his back, which we think is super cute. He's absolutely adorable and we can't wait to see him find his forever home. Tortonto’s adoption fee is $300. This animal is neutered, up to date on core vaccines, and Heartworm negative.
