My story

Meet Nelson 💙 A charming little gentleman with a heart full of love and a purr that could rival a motorcycle. This affectionate boy is the definition of a lap cat—sit down for even a second, and Nelson will be in your lap, happily turning on his loud, joyful motor. He thrives on human connection and gives back every ounce of love he receives (and then some!). Whether you're working from home or watching TV, Nelson will be your loyal shadow, content to snuggle close by your side. Nelson is litter box trained, and while he’s a total sweetheart with people, he does best with older children (16+) and must go to an experienced cat owner. He has some handling sensitivities and prefers things on his terms. Nelson would also do best as the only cat in the home, where he can soak up all the love and attention for himself. All of our cats and kittens go home spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on their core vaccines, as well as flea and tick preventatives. Each adoption also includes a 3.5-pound bag of Iams cat food and a free vet exam at one of our participating veterinary partners.
