My story

Meet Moonpie – The Bug-Eyed Lovebug! 2 Years Old | Male | Mixed Breed | Sweet, Silly, and Full of Heart Don’t let the goofy grin and big eyes fool you—Moonpie is as affectionate and lovable as they come! This quirky little guy is a total ham who lives for belly rubs, attention, and just being close to his people. Moonpie is mostly potty trained and working hard on his leash manners—and he’s making great progress with us every day! He enjoys the company of other dogs, though his social style can be a bit awkward at first (we think it just adds to his charm!). Moonpie is currently heartworm positive, so he’ll be adopted on a foster-to-adopt basis while he undergoes treatment—all covered by the rescue. It’s a small step on his journey to a long, happy life with his forever family. We’re not sure yet how Moonpie feels about cats, but we’re happy to help guide slow, safe introductions if needed. If you’re looking for a sweet, silly, and snuggly companion who’s as unique as his name, Moonpie might just be your perfect match.
