My story

ADDICTED TO CUDDLING WITH THEIR FOSTER PAWRENTS  DOB 4/5/25 Hey there, everyone! We’re Guacamole and Chip, who comprise the #avo-cadabra kids. I (Guacamole) am an ultra-cuddly, affectionate, and confident “bicolor” fella, which means that I’m mostly white with grey tabby on my head, sides, and tail. I (Chip) am a precious, tiny, and adorable grey tabby gal who’s just oozing with gentleness and sweetness. I guess you’d say that we’re addicted to our foster pawrents. Our favorite napping spot is draped somewhere on top of one of them. It’s fun to be part of a pile of kittens who snuggle with them on the sofa while we all binge on Netflix or Animal Planet. We’re both like Meowmy’s little shadows who meow as we follow her around the house with our purr motors turned on full blast. We always hope that we can attract her attention for a quick pet or snack. And when she arrives back home after being gone, we join the crew of foster kittens who come thundering down the stairs to greet her and assure her that her companionship has been greatly missed. I (Guacamole) am the “big brother” of tiny Chip, but I’m still smaller than the pair of foster kittens who are a month older than I am. From the get-go I “put on my big-boy pants” and didn’t let my comparably small size allow the older kittens to push me aside at meal time. No sirree! In fact, I hold my own and, I’m ashamed to admit, joined them in making Chip wait her turn as we gobbled up the food. I (Chip) have now started running around to keep up with the bigger kittens, but I (Guacamole) never seemed to notice any difference in my size with the older ones. I just chalk this up to my confidence and a healthy self-image. Our feral momma gave birth to us in Foster Meowmy’s back yard. When we were four weeks old, Meowmy scooped us up and brought us inside to the safe haven of her home. We were bottle-fed babies, so we are used to being handled a lot. Even though we’re weaned, it’s still a real treat for Foster Meowmy to give us a bottle as if we were still babies. Boy howdy! There is a plethora of cat toys here in our foster home – feather wand-toys, the tower-track of balls, shoe laces, and even the tall scratching post. We put every toy to use, but chasing each other through the cat tunnel is our favorite! We’re expert soccer strikers as we bat jingle-balls and plush toy mice around the house. Even without the toys, we tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle with each other as well as the older pair of foster kittens; when we’re exhausted, we all collapse in a kitten puddle. We get along great with the resident dog as well as the adult cats. Now we’re ready to grace my forever family with our endearing cuddliness and energetic playfulness. Could that be you? Arrange to meet us today. We think that it'd be the cat's meow if you adopted the #avo-cadbra kids as a bonded pair so that we could be playmates and cuddle buddies while you’re at work or on vacation. HOPE 25-0531-C045, CO46 Guacamole and Chip’s $200 adoption fee includes spay/neuters, basic vaccines, microchips and registrations, testing for FIV/FeLV, negative fecal tests, and preventative treatment against fleas and parasites. Online application: http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php If you have questions prior to filling out the application or want to find out which adoption site Guacamole and Chip will be this week-end, email us at nancy.e.kline@hotmail.com, and a volunteer will get back to you.  June 25, 2025, 6:01 pm
