OLIVER - FIV+

My story

Oliver is a sweet kitty in need of a very special family. He has tested positive for FIV, Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, and needs a home where he is the only cat or a home that already has welcomed an FIV-positive kitty. The virus can be transmitted from cat to cat, but not to humans. It causes a cat's immune system to weaken, but many cats who carry the virus show no signs of illness. Oliver is about 2 years old and weighs 10 pounds. He is current on vaccines and will be neutered and microchipped upon adoption. He is waiting for you in cage 630; ID is 11041. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heart worm or combo test and a microchip.
