Meet Sapling — A Sweet Survivor Ready to Bloom. At just 11 months old, Sapling has already shown incredible resilience. This gentle soul was rescued after being attacked by another dog, and while she sustained injuries to her neck and shoulder, she’s healing beautifully and has officially said goodbye to her cone!Sapling may be a little shy at first, especially with sudden movements or unfamiliar sounds, but her quiet strength shines through. She`s friendly, affectionate, and allows handling with ease. She takes treats with the gentlest touch and greets new people with soft curiosity.On her recent Doggie Day Out, Sapling enjoyed a calm, confidence-building adventure. She rode quietly in the car after a brief adjustment period, explored a shaded yard independently, and settled nicely at a coffee shop patio. Two young kids sat beside her and gave her gentle pets, which she accepted without hesitation. She also showed calm curiosity around a laughing baby, simply sniffing at their feet before resting nearby.While Sapling doesn’t seem to know basic commands just yet, she’s very food-motivated and eager to learn. She walks well on leash, never barked once during her outing, and even handled passing dogs and loud noises with admirable composure. She’s independent and calm, but will thrive with continued confidence-building and gentle encouragement.Sapling has also been polite around other dogs on walks, and while she didn’t show interest in toys during her outing, she happily enjoyed a pup cup and took in the world around her with quiet appreciation.This sweet, soft-hearted girl is ready to put her rough start behind her and grow into the loving, confident companion she’s meant to be.With a patient, kind home, Sapling is sure to blossom.
