My story

Pet Location: Dinky is currently living in a foster with her sister, Gemma! To meet Gemma and Dinky, call (816) 986-4426.My friends at Wayside say:-I`m shy at first, but full of love!-I am a lap cat-I had great litterbox and scratcher habits in my foster home!-I love toys, especially wands and fuzzy mice!-I enjoy bird videos and relaxing music-I enjoy treats, especially Churu!My home preferences:-I will need a quiet home environment-Children in the home must be 10 and older-I must be adopted with my best friend, Gemma-I need a cat-savvy adopter: no first-time cat parents!Hi there! Please don’t go- I’m over here! I can be pretty shy with new people, but it won’t last, I promise! I’m just slow to trust.My best friend, Gemma, and I have been through so much change. We came from another shelter, and it has been a lot of stressful transition. Once we got to Wayside, we stuck close together and promised to look out for one another no matter what.Fortunately for us, a lovely volunteer fell in love and brought us to foster. With her loving and patient care, we started to come out of our shells and blossom. She started to see our individual personalities shine and we learned that the world isn’t such a scary thing.According to foster mom, I needed lots of space to hide and feel comfortable at first and take a long time to warm up. Once I decide we are friends, good luck getting away from me! I turn into a very affectionate cat who just wants to sit on your lap and give you kisses. I can also be pretty playful and enjoy watching cat videos. We have a heating pad that I love to nap on, but nothing beats a warm nap!Now that we’ve had time to settle in, we’re ready to find our fur-ever family! Wherever we end up, I know we’ll be okay, as long as Dinky and I are together. Are you ready for double the love with us?
