My story

Meet Gunner, a 9-year-old, 60-pound Blue Heeler with a heart of gold and a face full of character (thanks to his unique vitiligo markings – he’s basically got built-in wisdom highlights!). Gunner is a happy guy who loves everything… except cats. Seriously. No cats. Like, ever. He’s perfectly polite with chickens, fantastic with kids, and loves other dogs. But cats? Hard pass. This handsome dude is house-trained, affectionate, and loyal as they come. He’s not much for toys (too dignified for that nonsense), but he’ll never say no to a tasty treat or a good scratch under the chin. Gunner would thrive in just about any home that’s cat-free and full of love, belly rubs, and maybe a backseat he can call shotgun. Minnie is great with other dogs and even cats, but would likely do best in a quiet home without children, or with older, respectful kids who understand that she may need space at times. He’s currently at a neighboring rescue, and we’re working together to help save lives. If you're ready to offer Gunner a loving home, we’ll pull him into Hay Dude Rescue to complete the adoption.
