My story

Beautiful and Bold Betty! Here is the queen of all queen bees. She likes things to go her way, and she tends to have a lot to say about it. Betty came into the shelter initially as a stray and was not reclaimed. When our vet checked her out, we discovered that she is declawed. Those things combined explains greatly why she is a little apprehensive, and, has a tendency to bite when she feels uncomfortable. She doesn't mean to be nasty, but without any claws to defend herself, her teeth are the next best thing. She likes to socialize with people, is chatty, and generally approaches staff. However, she does have her limits, which is to be expected given her past. Can you blame her? Betty needs an experienced, patient, and understanding owner who will give her the chance to figure out her boundaries, set them, and respect them. She is hoping to find an adult only home with an indoor-only lifestyle and a cat-savvy owner! She also wants to be a solo pet as she has made it clear she is not a fan of other felines, and we believe that applies to other animals as well.
