My story
Meet Max, a heartbroken boy whose world was turned upside down when his owner surrendered him. This sweet soul is terrified in the shelter, and it shows—but even through his fear, he allowed one of our volunteers to gently bathe him, covered in fleas and in desperate need of relief. We think he was grateful, even if he didn’t know how to show it at first. What shattered us most was seeing him pee in fear when brought back inside—his eyes full of confusion and sadness. Max isn’t just scared; he’s grieving. He needs someone with patience, kindness, and a soft place to land to help him heal.
