My story

Hey there, I am Cheeto! I spent most of my life on the streets with my mom and littermates until just a few weeks ago. I was the first to get trapped, but the moment I felt a gentle ear scratch, I was hooked! I quickly realized humans can be pretty amazing. The first couple of days were tough, though—being separated from my littermates stressed me out a lot.I really need to be adopted with my brother Dorito. Once we were back together, I started to relax and realize that life as an indoor kitty is not so bad after all. I love being pampered (especially when it comes to wet food—yum!) but I still have a lot of energy to burn. I need a place to play and explore, and some extra love and patience as I adjust to this new, safer world.Sometimes I love tucking my head into the crook of your elbow and enjoying the peace and quiet, and other times I want to be held like a little baby. I may need a bit more time and care to fully adapt, but I am well on my way to loving this cozy life!
