My story

This beautiful girl is Poppy! She arrived at the shelter as a lost dog with her sister, Ruby, on 6/20. Sadly, no one has come to reclaim them. The volunteers just adore these girls and describe them as absolutely adorable and super smart! They both know several commands including: sit, lay down, and stay. Please ensure you have the time, energy, and patience for young dogs before committing to Poppy & Ruby. If you have room in your heart and home for this dynamic duo, please come meet them! Poppy is approximately 1 year old and weighs 30 lbs. She is UTD on vaccines and did test negative for heartworms. She will be spayed and microchipped upon adoption. Poppy is waiting patiently in run 809; her ID # is 11101. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.
