My story

Hello! I'm Barrow's Pub and I am a curious boy looking for my forever home! Short BioBarrow is about 2.5 years old and originally hails from Georgia. He's very friendly and is very easygoing with people and other animals. Overall he's quite calm and content to rest in his crate, though he does love to come over to you and playfully lick you from time to time or gaze at you with his loving eyes. Personality & CharacteristicsGood with: People, kids, other dogs; even dogs that bark at him. He's also good with other small animals including guinea pigs, though hasn't been tested with cats.Noise level: Low. He doesn't bark much except when being touched where he doesn't like (see below). He does whimper, though, when put in his crate for bedtime at the end of the day.House training: He's not fully house trained for the potty yet, but he's made a lot of progress. In terms of crate training, he is generally quite happy to chill in his crate and feels safe there but will whimper at the beginning of being left alone.Walking behavior: Barrow is the type of dog that loves to investigate all the poles and scent mark. When he gets comfortable with the area, though, he tends to do it less.Energy level: 3/10 -- pretty calm and chill, though occasionally he gets the urge to lick you from head to toe.Appetite: He is food-motivated, but can be a little picky in terms of treats. He does like the occasional peanut butter treat. He absolutely loves water, and sometimes needs to have his water intake monitored as he'll just drink without abandon.Coat: Mostly black with a few small white spots. Low to no shedding.Cars & subways: Barrow does well in the car and is content to just sit there. We haven't yet tried the subway. DislikesBarrow has been neutered recently and is rather sensitive with being touched on the hind paws or on the butt. Important to KnowBarrow is currently on heartworm medication and it seems to depress his appetite on some days. However, we haven't seen worms since getting him and hopefully the meds are going to lead to a full recovery. 3 Keywords for Barrow: affectionate, curious, gentle Fostered in Jersey CityPlease reach out to apply for a meet and greet! ALL adoptions require a completed application and final contract. The application can be found at  WaldosRescue.org  and once you are approved to adopt you will be put in touch with the foster to see if it’s a good match. We are a RESCUE not a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We are unable to contact every applicant for every dog.  We will select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs. Waldos Rescue Pen is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill shelters throughout the United States and Korea. ##2443467##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Barrow's Pub, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
