My story

Meet Kurtis!Kurtis is a big, goofy young dog with a ton of personality and love to give. He is full of energy and would thrive in a home that enjoys staying active. Think hiking, playtime in the yard, or lots of fun brain games, which he absolutely loves. He is smart, food motivated, and eager to please, which makes training both fun and rewarding.Kurtis is working hard on his manners and is looking for someone who can help continue that progress with patience and positive reinforcement. He gets very excited and is still learning how to handle all that enthusiasm, especially when meeting new people or in busy environments. He enjoys playing with other dogs but can be reactive on walks and needs slow, thoughtful introductions. A home without small children or cats would be the best fit. He is not suited to apartment living as he needs more space and can be vocal when overstimulated.Kurtis loves enrichment activities like puzzle feeders and Kongs and is happiest when he has a game to play or something to focus on. With the right guidance and structure, he will make a loyal and fun-loving companion.Thank you for your interest in adopting! Do you think you could be Kurtis's person? Apply today!TIP: We encourage all applicants to write a little bit about themselves when prompted. Leaving these questions empty inhibits our ability to make the best match possible and effects the likelihood of receiving a call back.https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/The Victoria Center is open for in-person adoption viewings Tuesday through Sunday, 12pm to 4pm, staff and animal well-being permitting. Some animals may not be viewable due to limited shelter space, medical and behavioral reasons, or other contributing factors. Kitten and puppy meet and greets are by application only. Phone inquires and emails regarding the status of your application cannot always be prioritized. Primary Color: Black Weight: 31.6 Age: 1yrs 2mths 2wks

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Kurtis, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
