My story

Meet Goose! He’s 70 pounds at 7 months and growing. Goose is currently in a loving foster home and they report: He’s calm, alert and very strong willed. Breed experience required! He is friendly with people and dogs. Goose will require lots of socialization and consistent training. He will thrive in a home with lots of outdoor space in a rural area. He may be happiest sleeping outside. Of course Pyrenees are known to bark more than other breeds. Please be prepared for this. 7 food fence recommended. Goose was found as a stray near Rio Vista in April. At the time, the vet estimated he was about 4 months old. He was rehomed shortly after, but unfortunately, his new family wasn’t prepared for the needs of a Great Pyrenees. Without proper training and enrichment, Goose became bored and started wandering. After a few escapes, he was ultimately surrendered to Milo in hopes of finding a more suitable forever home. He’s looking for a home with someone who has experience with livestock guardian breeds and understands their unique needs. A doggy sibling to show him the ropes would be a big bonus! Goose is still a pup with lots of love to give—and he's ready to find his perfect match.
