My story

🐾 Meet Baxter! Breed: Retriever, Labrador/Pinscher, Doberman | Age: 2.5yr | Size: approx 60-70lb | Traits: Loves to play, good with dogs, resource guards balls exclusively, okay with intro to cats but has not lived with, okay with children Baxter is a young, energetic dog with a bright mind and an even bigger heart. He already knows his basics—sit, stay, down, and shake—and is eager to learn more with the right guidance. Baxter is full of potential and thrives with structure, positive reinforcement, and lots of mental and physical activity. He came to us from a loving home that recognized he needed more than they could provide—especially space to run and consistent attention. Life in an apartment with a newborn made it hard for him to get the stimulation he needs. Baxter would do best in a home with a fenced yard, active routines, and someone with the time and patience to help him channel his energy in healthy ways. He may whine when he’s bored or under-stimulated, but with enrichment and continued training, he’ll make a wonderful and loyal companion. Are you Baxter’s perfect match?
