My story

Hi! My name is Opal and I’m at the Santa Barbara Campus. I’m a 2 year old, female, Domestic Longhair who came to SB Humane hoping to find a loving home to call my own. I’m the kind of cat who’ll greet you at the door with a chirp, knock your keys off the table just for fun, and then curl up in your lap like nothing ever happened. I’m friendly, independent, and love to play (especially when there’s something that crinkles or rolls involved). Some call me "a little chaotic" — I prefer spirited. Life’s just more exciting when you keep everyone on their toes, right? Don’t worry though, I’m gentle and great with kids. I’ve got a soft spot for little humans and love to chase after whatever they drag around. Interested in meeting me? Please stop by during open hours: daily 12:00pm-4:30pm, closed Wednesdays. Animals adopted from Santa Barbara Humane have been spayed/neutered, are current on vaccinations, and are microchipped. Adoptions include a complimentary health exam from a participating veterinarian, a starter bag of Purina food, and discounted dog training class fees. All the supplies you need are available at SBH Retail Centers and sales help support our programs.
