Dog of the Week - Meet CheyenneThis eleven months old female Pit Bull Terrier mix is black, tan and white in color and weighs 41 pounds. Selected by our staff to be featured, this sweet girl has been waiting in the shelter for almost two months for a new `furever` home and we can’t figure out why. She’s young, happy, and full of playful energy that makes her a joy to be around. She loves toys, chasing after them with pure excitement. Her silly personality makes us laugh out loud every time we take her to the play yard. Cheyenne`s kennel sits right next to the adoption room, where she watches other dogs meet their families and head home. We can tell she’s just waiting for her turn. Sadly, we think she may be getting overlooked simply because she’s a darker-colored dog, but trust us—her personality shines bright. She’s beautiful inside and out and would bring so much joy, fun, and laughter to her forever family. Considered a VIP due to the length of time she has spent in the shelter, Cheyenne is ready and waiting to be your new furry friend.
