My story

(Miss Moo is not in our rescue. This is a courtesy post for a local foster.) WHAT IS YOUR NAME? Moo Deng (aka Miss Moo) ARE YOU A GIRL OR A BOY? Girl HOW OLD ARE YOU? Around 8 years old WHAT BREED ARE YOU? Pit bull mix HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? Around 50 pounds WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? I am a grey and white senior angel queen. WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? Blueberries and raspberries, carrots, and anything with chicken! WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? I am very laid back and easy going. I can be playful and enjoy toys, but my preference is to be lounging on the couch snuggling with my people. I am silly, curious, sweet, and love meeting new people. DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY: My perfect day begins with breakfast followed by a nice calm walk. Then, I would like to lay on the couch, snuggle, and nap until I have recovered from my walk. I would enjoy a trip to the pet store to pick out a new toy, where I can come home and promptly rip out all of the fluff. On the way home, I will insist that I get to hang my head out the window to feel the wind. I might also like a ride through the car wash. After play time, I will be ready for dinner and another calm walk. After my walk, I will be ready to relax for the rest of the night, snuggling on the couch with my people. It doesn’t take much to make this girl feel loved!! WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? Anything fluffy and anything with a squeaker! DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? I can sit and stay! WHAT SCARES YOU? My only fear is not finding a forever home. HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? DO YOU LIKE THEM? I love children! I have encountered many kids on walks and I always greet them with tail wags and kisses. I have no issues with kids. DO YOU LIKE CATS? I am not cat safe! I have a strong prey drive. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? I can be selective. I am most comfortable with male dogs my size or bigger. My foster parents avoid small dogs that could be misconstrued for prey, and I have had issues with female dogs in the past. I am also perfectly comfortable being the only dog in the house. IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? On a comfy couch with lots and lots of blankets! HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? I am in great health! I am a senior girl, so I can be low energy sometimes, but no health issues! WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? In my foster home, I live with two humans! My favorite companion is my foster mom, Nicole. My foster dad is cool, but not as cool as mom. WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? When I am home alone, I stay in the living room. Foster mom closes all doors so I cannot access other rooms. I typically hang on the couch while they are away! WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? I sleep on the couch in the living room and sometimes, if I am lucky, I sleep in bed with my foster parents. I can be a bed hog though. I am very respectful and sleep wherever they ask me to, even if it’s the floor. DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? I love walks and walk great on the leash. I love to explore and sniff. DO YOU HAVE ANY "NOT-SO-GREAT" HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? FOR INSTANCE, DO YOU BARK OR DIG IN THE YARD? I can be mischievous when home alone. I have pulled a box of fruit snacks and a bag of tortillas off the counter. On both occasions, I ripped the packages open and ate what was inside. This is easily avoided if food is kept out of my reach when I am home alone. Otherwise, no bad habits that anyone has identified! ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED? (MEANING DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE) I am house trained and know to potty outside! DO YOU LIKE WATER? I love water and love to annoy my foster parents with my wet drippy snout after I drink it. WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? I love that my foster family buys me toys, gives me snuggles and attention, and makes me feel safe. I also love when they take me on adventures and let me hang my head out the window in the car. HOW DO PEOPLE GET IN TOUCH WITH YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? If anyone has questions about Miss Moo, they can text her foster mom, Nicole Vanek at 219-743-5891, or message us on TikTok! Moo’s TikTok is “Miss Moo”https://www.tiktok.com/@miss.moo63?_t=ZT-8xZ1mbKYMVZ&_r=1 ⭐️ Miss Moo is located in the Sacramento area but her fosters are willing to drive her (within reason) to the perfect home. Moo’s adoption fee is $175. ⭐️

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Moo Deng, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
