Meet Mingus – A Small Dog with a Big Heart Mingus is a one-year-old mixed breed male who’s as sweet as they come. Friendly with everyone he meets and great with other dogs, he’s the kind of pup who instantly charms his way into your heart. At just 25 pounds, Mingus is fully grown—compact in size, but overflowing with love. We don’t know how someone could have dumped him. It’s heartbreaking to imagine, especially when you meet him and see just how gentle and affectionate he is. But we do know this: Mingus deserves better, and now he’s ready for a second chance. The name Mingus means “gentle strength”—a perfect fit for this resilient little soul. Despite his past, he hasn’t let it harden his heart. He’s soft, kind, and quietly brave, and he’s ready to share that strength with someone who will never let him go again.
