My story

We have a transport where we will be personally taking our dogs home leaving on 7/14/25 to NorCal and OR. Surrounding states will be added to our route if needed ☺️ We would love to add Kai to our trip for the right home 💕 Meet Kai! He is a purebred miniature poodle (He is just rocking the teddy bear cut!) He turns 1 in September of 2025. He currently weighs 9 lbs. He has a little more growth left, but not much as he is almost fully matured. He currently weighs 9 lbs. He is at a great size, and weight as of now. He is just our little guy 💙 He is neutered, microchipped, current on all of his vaccines, has been dewormed, examined thourely by our vet, and has been cleared to find a home all his own! He is crate trained, and currently uses his crate to sleep in at night or to nap in during the day. He is very good in his crate so no matter the use in your home he will happily use his crate for you. He is house trained and currently goes outside to use the restroom every 3-4 hours and has been doing very well with that schedule. If he needs to go out in between schedules of us asking him, he is learning to sit by the door and wait for you to open it for him. He is very patient, and for the most part is great about waiting to be asked to go out. Leash training is going well. He has been accustomed to a collar and leash since with us so that's helped him prepare for walks. It's been very hot here so he will get small walks around our property when weather permits. He will definitely need more encouragement as his confidence grows especially in walks outside of his home but he is eager to learn and loves being with his human so it won't be a hard task ahead with enough love, patience, and yummy treats! He is amazing with dogs and cats alike and loves everyone as if they have been his friends forever. Whether you have a sweet animal at home to join him in life, or it's just you he will be equally happy because he just loves to be loved whether by human, or animal! He is very well behaved in the home, and is either found napping nearby in his crate or on his bed if he isn't playing with a favorite toy quietly while you tend to your day. He is always ready to be with you again, when you have the time to sit and engage with me but will wait patiently until then entertaining himself ❤️ He is not a barker, but has learned to alert you of unfamiliar noises for sure and loves knowing he is keeping you safe. He does listen well, and when asked to stop barking he will comply knowing you will keep him safe from there. Rest assured though that he is always close behind making sure all is well ❤️ He is wonderful on road trips of any length and is always happy to run around town, and even happier when trips turn into adventures that lead to mini vacations 😊 He is a very sweet, kind hearted, happy boy. He enjoys snuggle sessions, and loves watching shows laying on your lap or at your feet ❤️He has come such a long ways in the time we have had him and went from being very shy and reserved to wanting his human to hold him just because that's where he loves to be! He is wonderful with our groomers, and is very patient from beginning to end and back into our arms! He loves being told how handsome he is, and welcomes extra hugs and kisses ❤️❤️❤️ He came from a breeder, she was an older lady who just couldn't keep up with her program any longer and needed help placing the remaining pups, and adults she had. Socialization and training definitely started in our home. But he is learning and growing every day 💙 His adoption fee is on our website at the bottom of his adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/__kai-1Kai It covers his neuter, vaccines, microchip/registration, baby teeth extractions that hadn't fallen out on their own, his fecal test we had sent out to the lab, his deworming, his exam with our vet (that went perfect 😊,) the care involved in the months of care he has recieved since with us, his grooming costs, and his training/socialization we have personally done with him 💙

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Kai, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
