My story

Hello!  I’m Parker, a sweet and affectionate 4-year-old Chihuahua blend with a charming smile and a whole lot of love to give! Weighing 23 pounds, I may be small in size, but I am overflowing with warmth and joy. General Behavior: Parker is a certified love bug! He absolutely adores his humans and lights up when meeting new people. With his sunny disposition and friendly nature, he’s sure to become the heart of any home. He is a social butterfly, but also content doing his own thing.   Likes & Dislikes: Parker likes to give kisses and get belly rubs. He loves to go for walks and car rides. He is also a big fan of toys and loves to play tug-of-war with a rope.  There really isn’t anything this gentle and goofy boy doesn’t like.  Training: Parker has excellent manners. He walks well on a leash and is house-trained in his foster home. He is a smart boy and food motivated; both of which lend itself nicely to additional training.  Medical: Parker is a healthy boy and just needs his heartworm and flea/tick preventative medicines like any pup. Other Animals: Parker has experience with small dogs.  He seems to shine around small, playful dogs, but is ok with calm/laid back dogs as well.  He has not been observed around cats; however, we believe he will do well.  Children: Currently, Parker doesn’t have any experience with children, but we believe he will do a wonderful job with children 8 and up. Home:  Parker would be fine in an apartment, condo or single-family home as long as he gets his exercise. He can be left alone for several hours without issues and has free rein of his foster home.  He typically sleeps in the “people bed” at night but is also comfortable in his own bed.   Grooming: Parker has short hair and will not require extensive grooming. He will just need to be brushed, bathed and have his nails trimmed occasionally.  Overall: Parker is a healthy, happy boy looking for his forever home that will cherish his loving companionship. If you are looking for a loyal companion with a big heart and an even bigger personality, Parker may be the one for you.  Are you the one for Parker? Then visit our website www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org where you will find the application to adopt.
