Lola

My story

Lola is a sweet Velcro dog who loves sunbathing, cuddles, belly rubs, and playing tag! She's quite food-motivated, which makes her easier to train. She likes food toys like wobbly Kongs, and would be with you all day if she could. She's more interested in whatever you're doing than really anything else, and likes to lay down in the vicinity of wherever you are, so she can see you; Lola will lay down in front of the doorway or outside the kitchen if you're busy doing something else. She is crate-trained and is housebroken, and does fantastic on a leash: no pulling, and attentive to the walker. She's learning to wait for the "wait, okay, across" commands when crossing the road on a walk. Cats are very tempting to chase, but with a couple "leave it" commands, she has learned to ignore them better. She wants to make sure everyone coming into the home has friendly intentions, but warms up quickly to them once they're introduced to her and will soon flop over onto her back for belly rubs. She will rub and roll all over you and the floor in a full-body demonstration of her happiness and affection for you. She's great with brushing as well and enjoys the sensation and the attention it comes with.
